Detailed guide to Treasure Storage app features.
info Introduction
Treasure Storage is a professional offline tool for treasure hunters, archaeologists, and documentalists. The application allows you to record finds with precise GPS location, photographs, and metadata, all without the need for an internet connection.
start First steps
Before first run
- Upon first launch, the app will ask for permissions to access your GPS (for find locations), camera (for photo documentation) and storage (for saving offline maps and exports).
- We recommend allowing all permissions for full functionality.
diamond Working with finds
Creating a new find
Click the big "+" button on the main screen.
- A new find form opens.
- GPS location is loaded using the button Load current location or by selecting from map.
- Enter a title, description, category, and other details.
- Add photos.
- Save by clicking the "Save find" button at the bottom of the form.

Signal quality indicator
Color indicator shows GPS signal quality:
- Excellent: Accuracy within 3 meters.
- Good: Accuracy between 3 and 5 meters.
- Average: Accuracy between 5 and 8 meters.
- Poor: Accuracy worse than 8 meters or no signal.
map Maps
Offline Maps
In the Settings -> Offline Maps menu you can download map tiles for areas you are going to. Downloaded maps work even in Airplane mode.

You can export your data anytime for backup or further processing.

For import into map applications and Garmin GPS.

Generates a web page with your finds and photos.

π² Transferring finds from mobile to Desktop
Two methods available β via Google Drive (wireless) or via USB/file.
A Via Google Drive (recommended, no cable)
- 1. In the mobile app: Export β Google Drive β Sync ZIP to Drive.
- 2. On your PC in the Desktop app: Import β From Google Drive.
- 3. Desktop automatically downloads the ZIP and imports all finds and photos.
B Via USB / direct file
- 1. In the mobile app: Export β Backup β Create Backup.
- 2. The ZIP is saved in TreasureStorage/backups/ β copy it to your PC via USB/Bluetooth.
- 3. In the Desktop app: Import β From ZIP file and select the file.
π‘ Import is always safe: It never overwrites existing finds β only adds new ones. Duplicates are automatically skipped.
πΎ Local backup on your phone
Create backups regularly and always before uninstalling β uninstalling permanently deletes all data!
- β Export β Backup β Create Backup β saves a ZIP to phone storage.
- β Restore: Export β Backup β Import Backup, select the ZIP file.
help Troubleshooting & FAQ
GPS is not working or is inaccurate

Check if the app has location permissions in system settings. Also make sure that you are outside with a clear view of the sky (GPS doesn't work inside buildings). Wait 30-60 seconds, for GPS to "warm up" and acquire signal from satellites.
Cannot add photos

Check the app's permissions for storage and camera in system settings. Also make sure that you have enough free space on your phone. The maximum number of photos per find is 10.
Offline maps are not downloading

You need an active internet connection to download offline maps. Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data. Also check if you have enough free space on your phone (offline maps can take up hundreds of MBs).
