Frequently Asked Questions
help_center Basic Usage
How do I create a new find?
expand_more
On the main screen, tap the green button with the "+" icon in the bottom right corner. A form will open where you can enter the name, category, and description. You can load your GPS position by tapping "Load current location" or picking a spot on the map. You can also add up to 10 photos.
How securely is my find data stored?
expand_more
Your data is stored locally in the database on your device. The application works 100% offline and does not transmit any data to our servers. You don't share your "hot spots" with anyone β you have absolute control over your data.
Does the app work without a mobile signal?
expand_more
Yes! The app works 100% offline. You can download OpenStreetMap map data for offline use. All finds are stored locally in the database on your device, and no internet connection is required.
gps_fixed GPS & Location
How accurate is the GPS location?
expand_more
In open terrain and under a clear sky, an accuracy of about 1 meter can be achieved with a modern phone (accuracy decreases in forests or under overcast skies). This is fully sufficient for accurately recording the location of finds.
How do I record GPS tracks?
expand_more
In the main menu, select "Track Recording" and tap "Start Recording" or toggle the button. The app will record your GPS position at regular intervals. When you finish recording, you can export the track to GPX format for use in Garmin GPS, Google Earth or GIS software.
upload_file Data Export
What export formats are available?
expand_more
The application supports 7 export formats: CSV (for Excel), JSON (for programmers), ZIP (archiving with photos), PDF (printing), Markdown (documentation), HTML (web presentation) and GPX (for GPS navigation algorithms and GIS software).
Can I export my data to other devices?
expand_more
Of course. You can export your find history in 7 different formats: CSV, JSON, ZIP, PDF, Markdown, HTML, and GPX for import into other map software such as Google Earth, Garmin GPS, or GIS tools.
How do I export data to PDF?
expand_more
In the finds list or find detail, click on the "Export" icon and select "PDF". You can export a single find or all finds at once. The PDF contains all information including photos and GPS coordinates.
build Troubleshooting
GPS is not working or inaccurate
expand_more
Check if the app has location permission in your system settings. Also, make sure that you are outside with a clear view of the sky (GPS does not work inside buildings). Wait 30-60 seconds for the GPS to "warm up" and acquire signals from satellites.
I can't add photos
expand_more
Check the app's storage and camera permissions in your system settings. Also, make sure that you have enough free space on your phone. The maximum number of photos per find is 10.
Offline maps are not downloading
expand_more
You need an active internet connection to drop pins and automatically cache offline maps. Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data when exploring new areas in the map screen. Also ensure you have enough free space on your phone (cached maps can consume hundreds of MBs).
